Local Business Account Manager – Ipswich £35,000 basic salary | Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week ACS Automotive is recruiting for a Local Business Account Manager to join a dealership fleet team in Ipswich.
You’ll look after business customers from their first vehicle enquiry through to delivery, preparing quotes, keeping customers informed and making sure orders and paperwork are ready for handover.
You’ll work closely with the Group Fleet Manager, business customers and brokers.
The role suits someone who enjoys building relationships and is happy to pick up the phone, follow up on a quote or chase an update before the customer has to ask.
- What you’ll be doing
- Responding to business customer and broker enquiries, preparing vehicle quotes and following up on outstanding decisions.
- Keeping customers informed about vehicle availability, pricing, order progress and expected delivery dates.
- Processing vehicle orders, registrations and invoices, and keeping customer and vehicle records accurate across internal systems.
- Coordinating deliveries and handovers with customers and colleagues, making sure the paperwork is ready on time.
- Preparing sales reports and helping the Group Fleet Manager track performance, forecast sales and support fleet promotions.
- Following dealership and manufacturer procedures and handling customer information in line with GDPR requirements. What we’re looking for
- Previous motor trade experience is essential.
Relevant backgrounds include dealership fleet sales or administration, local business sales, vehicle leasing and retail car sales within a dealership.
- Experience preparing vehicle quotes, discussing options with customers and following up on outstanding enquiries.
- Confidence building relationships with business customers and taking ownership of their enquiries from quote through to order.
- The ability to manage several live quotes and orders at once while keeping customer records and paperwork accurate.
- Confidence using dealership or fleet systems to track orders, update records and pull together sales information.
