Our client, a busy and established accident repair centre in Dartford, is looking for an experienced Vehicle Paint Technician and Prepper to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled bodyshop professional seeking a permanent weekday position, a competitive hourly rate and the potential to work additional overtime during busy periods.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing vehicles and individual panels for refinishing
- Carrying out sanding, filling, masking and priming
- Mixing and matching paint colours accurately
- Applying paint finishes to a consistently high standard
- Completing quality checks and rectifying any imperfections
- Ensuring repairs meet manufacturer and bodyshop standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Working effectively with the wider bodyshop team to meet agreed deadlines
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Paint Technician, Paint Sprayer or Prepper
- Confident completing preparation and paintwork to a high standard
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
- Able to work efficiently within a busy accident repair environment
- Reliable, organised and capable of working as part of a team
- A relevant bodyshop or vehicle refinishing qualification would be advantageous
Working hours:
The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and a 20-minute paid tea break. The workshop opens from 6:00am, so there may also be the option to work from 6:00am to 4:00pm. No Saturdays are required, although optional overtime may be available during particularly busy periods.
