A Trainee Commercial Vehicle Sales Executive position with a basic salary of £18,000 plus guaranteed minimum wage for the first year. This is a permanent, full-time role with no Sundays, working Monday to Saturday (with a day off during the week).
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join their growing Commercial Vehicle team. This is a genuine trainee position with full training and development provided from day one. The first 12 months will focus on learning the products, understanding customer requirements, generating leads, attending events, and developing the skills needed to progress into a full Sales Executive position. Prior automotive experience is not required; the emphasis is on attitude, personality, and willingness to learn.
This role suits candidates from backgrounds such as retail sales, telesales, or customer-facing environments, including hospitality, recruitment, business development, or any customer-facing sales role.
The Role
- Learning the full range of commercial vehicles and understanding customer requirements
- Supporting lead generation and customer engagement activities
- Speaking with potential customers and building relationships
- Attending product placements, events, and exhibitions to represent the brand
- Demonstrating vehicles to customers and explaining key features
- Creating interest and generating enquiries through face-to-face conversations
- Supporting social media activity and helping promote vehicles online
- Following up customer enquiries and maintaining accurate records
- Working towards progressing into a full Sales Executive position

- Confident and comfortable speaking with people face-to-face and over the phone
- Friendly, approachable, and good at building relationships
- Motivated to develop a long-term career in sales
