Job Description

Following sustained growth of the business, Acronyms is looking to expand our Project Delivery team with the recruitment of a Project Administrator to support the continued successful delivery of a range of IT services projects both through aiding the existing team members and through taking ownership of a portfolio of our more standardised project types.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role requires a candidate who is driven, has strong multi-tasking and prioritising skills, who can collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and who has a proven track record of working within a fast-paced environment.

Whilst not a technical role, the Project Administrator will be expected to and supported in developing and maintaining a strong technical understanding of the products and services which Acronyms provide.
In the first instance the role will be fully office-based.

Following successful probationary review, an appropriate work-from-home / office-based balance will be considered.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Take accountability for the successful delivery of a fair and appropriate share of new client and / or internal projects, with a project portfolio limited to simpler, standardised project types.
  • Maintain robust, legible and regular updates to company project management records within the company’s choice of project management tools.
  • Apply an appropriate balance of standardised process with creativity and flexibility when approaching planning projects, resource scheduling and ensuring internal and external stakeholders receive communication in relation to project status updates.
  • Provide a robust hand-over on project status ahead of any period of absence and support project progression for colleagues during their periods of absence.
  • Develop and maintain a sound understanding of the products and services the company offers.
  • Contribute to daily Project update meetings, escalating issues and supporting colleagues.
  • Contribute to identification of opportunities for improvement in how the Project Delivery team operates.
  • Contribute to company Quality proceedings by alerting the Operations Manager to any deviations from expected procedures that lead to negative or positive outcomes.
  • Maintain positive and supportive relationships with all colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that any impediments to achieving any elements of this job description are escalated and raised with the Operations Manager.
  • Provide an exceptional service to the client and a positive relationship with your colleagues.
  • Undertake training and to assist in training other or new members of staff as required.
  • Undertake other duties as may be required within the general scope of the job.
  • Work in accordance with all company procedures and guidelines.

Required Experience

  • Experience of work requiring high multi-tasking and prioritisation skills
  • Experience of stakeholder management
  • Experience of working within technology (preferred but not essential)

Desired Skills

  • A driving licence and willingness to across Acronyms office locations
  • Exceptional communication and inter-personal skills
  • Organised, proactive and with exceptional attention to detail
  • Driven and solution focused
  • Basic IT knowledge (including all Microsoft packages)

  • Overall sound educational background
