Acron Aviation are seeking a Supply Chain Year in Industry Placement Student to join our Supply Chain organisation in a challenging, fast‐paced operational environment. This placement is designed to provide broad exposure across the end‐to‐end Supply Chain, supporting live business activity while developing practical skills, commercial awareness, and professional capability.
The successful candidate will rotate through key Supply Chain functions including Planning, Purchasing, Strategic Procurement, Logistics, Stores, and Inventory Management, working closely with experienced professionals and contributing to both day‐to‐day operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Day To Day Responsibilities
- Supporting Supply Chain teams during planned rotations across Planning, Purchasing, Strategic Procurement, Logistics, Stores, Configuration and Inventory Management
- Participate in team meetings, reviews, and project discussions to build understanding of stakeholder priorities
- Gaining an understanding of MRP by using our system SAP to interpret demand and supply requirements for projects.
- Assisting with day‐to‐day operational activities such as material planning support, purchase order administration, supplier communication, and expediting
- Supporting sourcing and procurement activities including data analysis, preparation of reports, and assistance with supplier performance tracking
- Contributing ideas and suggestions for departmental process improvements
- Gaining an understanding of Inventory Management methodologies
- Working with our Strategic Procurement team to negotiate Long Term Agreements, conduct RFP's and Supplier Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Participating in meetings, reviews, and project activities to gain exposure to cross‐functional working and stakeholder engagement
- Getting involved with project support activities and providing flexible support to the wider Supply Chain function as required.
- Working closely with our customer support team with after sales support and repairs management.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- Currently studying towards a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline preferred
- Interest in a future career within Supply Chain, Procurement, or Operations
- Strong attention to detail with good analytical capability
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Effective interpersonal communication and written skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt across different functional areas
