Job Description

The role of Warehouse Operative is to ensure an efficient stores service including picking, packing and stock control to ensure movement of all orders to production, without compromising customer service levels, maintaining accurate stock levels and store products safely with no risk of damage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Locate, pick and issue parts to works orders from Warehouse locations.
  • Prepare a works order picked kit for production.
  • Ensure parts are issued and transacted within the system correctly.
  • Locate picked kit into relevant location.
  • Ensure safe use of machinery such as forklift or reach truck, adhering to all Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Perform stock counts in line with cycle count procedure when requested.
  • Initial investigation of any stock discrepancies, reporting findings to line manager.

Skills and experience required.

  • Experience of a Warehouse environment – within a manufacturing environment desirable.
  • Demonstratable strong attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Counterbalance Forklift license.
  • Ability to work under pressure without compromising on quality.
  • Demonstratable effective communication skills with other departments.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to use MS Excel, Outlook and experience of a MRP system – Epicor desirable.
  • Experience within a highly traceable environment like Aerospace.
  • 37.5 hours per week 1 pm finish on a Friday
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
