The main purpose of the Cleaner is to be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene at our site in Crick, ensuring a tidy and conducive workspace for employees and visitors. The role is a 25-hour working week Monday to Friday, from 9:30am-14:30pm.
Key Responsibilities- Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and office equipment
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors in offices, hallways, and common areas
- Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and replenishing supplies
- Emptying rubbish bins and disposing of waste properly
- Cleaning windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors as needed
- Restocking cleaning supplies and toiletries in designated areas
- Reporting any maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures, leaks) to management
- Performing deep cleaning tasks periodically (e.g., carpet shampooing, vent cleaning)
- Following health and safety regulations and company cleaning protocols
- Properly storing cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Using protective gear when handling hazardous materials
- Cooperating with office staff and other cleaning personnel
- Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour while working in shared spaces
- Previous cleaning experience (e.g., in offices, schools, or hotels) is desirable but not essential
- Attention to detail: Spotting dirt, dust, and messes others might miss
- Time management: Completing tasks efficiently within scheduled hours
- Good verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions and interact with staff
