Acrisure is seeking a Vice President, Head of Global Carrier Relationships to join our growing team. This role is responsible for setting and executing Acrisure’s carrier strategy at a global and group level, spanning all elements of trading in the marketplace. The individual will optimize trading relationships with all business partners and work with every unit to identify opportunities to maximize revenue and execute broader strategic initiatives through premium placement and subsequent value‑capture.
Responsibilities
- North American Retail: Refine US retail carrier strategy in collaboration with the placement network in Acrisure’s North American Retail (NAR) business. Maximise group revenue through negotiation and optimization of contingent and supplemental agreements. Manage the US Markets unit.
- North American Wholesale (Wholesure): Map the Wholesure portfolio by carrier and trading segment. Develop placement strategies by trading segment. Manage the E&S Markets unit.
- International Retail: Map the international retail portfolio and identify opportunities to optimize trading relationships with key strategic partners. Define opportunities for enhanced value‑chain capture. Manage the International Markets unit.
- Value‑Chain Capture: Identify opportunities across all segments to drive enhanced revenue through Acrisure‑owned assets (delegated underwriting, global wholesale, TPA & servicing, reinsurance services, Lloyd’s syndicates). Reinsurance – nurture opportunities for Acrisure Re drawn from the portfolio. Lloyd’s – identify opportunities to bring premium into Flux Syndicate 1985 and Volante Syndicate 1699. Wholesale – maximise usage of Acrisure’s global wholesale business for servicing the wholesale portfolio. Underwriting – source capacity for new MGAs and programs with Acrisure Re and identify clients suitable for Acrisure’s MGAs. Acrisure Global Network (AGN) – drive growth and revenue through commission sharing, network optimization, and effective placement of multinational risk.
Required Qualifications
- Revenue model development and translation of strategic initiatives into revenue objectives.
- Familiarity with all forms of carrier compensation (base commission, contingent, supplemental).
- Proven track record using data to support reporting structures and strategy development.
- Experience leading and growing a team.
- In-depth understanding of negotiation processes with the carrier community across compensation and trading elements.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in (re)insurance portfolio data and carrier compensation plans.
- Executive‑level relationship management and effective presentation to leadership audiences.
- Literacy in assessing carrier production reports and performance indicators.
- Knowledge of the US and international reinsurance markets.
- Data and analytical approach specific to carrier compensation and value‑chain performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., business administration, marketing, finance).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a related field.
- Experience trading in the US or international retail and/or wholesale insurance markets.
- Experience utilizing technology to enhance performance and efficiency.
Must be able to travel to all offices, client offices and events as needed. Full‑time, Executive level.
