Acrisure is seeking a Vice President, Head of Global Carrier Relationships to join our growing team in New York or London. This role is responsible for setting and executing Acrisure's carrier strategy at a global and group level, spanning all elements of trading in the marketplace. This individual will be responsible for optimizing Acrisure's trading relationships with all business partners, with the core focus of delivering optimum solutions for Acrisure's client base. Furthermore, the Head of Global Carrier Relationships will work with every business unit to identify opportunities to maximise revenue and execute the broader strategic initiatives of the group through the placement of its premium and the subsequent capture of revenue along the value chain.
Responsibilities
- Refinement of US retail carrier strategy in close collaboration with the placement network in Acrisure's North American Retail (NAR) business.
- Maximizing group revenue through negotiation and optimization of contingent and supplemental agreements.
- Management of US Markets unit.
- Mapping of Wholesure portfolio by carrier and trading segment.
- Development of placement strategies by trading segment.
- Management of E&S Markets unit.
- Mapping of international retail portfolio and identification of opportunities to optimize and potentially aggregate trading relationships with key strategic partners.
- Defining opportunities for enhanced value chain capture.
- Management of International Markets unit.
- Identifying opportunities across all segments to drive enhanced revenue through engagement with Acrisure-owned assets along the value chain.
- Nurturing opportunities for Acrisure Re derived from the Acrisure portfolio.
- Identifying opportunities to bring Acrisure premium into Flux Syndicate 1985 and Volante Syndicate 1699.
- Maximizing usage of Acrisure's global wholesale business for the servicing of wholesale portfolio.
- Sourcing capacity for new MGAs and programs in conjunction with Acrisure Re and identification of clients that would fit well with Acrisure's MGAs.
- Driving growth of the Acrisure Global Network (AGN).
Requirements
- Revenue model development.
- Translation of strategic initiatives to revenue objectives.
- Familiarity with all forms of compensation; base commission, contingent and supplemental.
- Proven track record of working with data to support effective reporting structures and strategy development.
- Management of data review sessions, agenda building, documentation development and follow up.
- Awareness of and interest in the US and international reinsurance market.
- Understanding of negotiation processes with carrier community across compensation and all elements of trading.
- Data and analytical skills and approach, specifically relating to (re)insurance portfolio data and carrier compensation plans.
- Working level understanding of all elements of the value chain, including retail, wholesale and reinsurance markets.
- Effective executive-level relationship management, through quantitative and qualitative means.
- Shaping of clear and effective reporting to executive and leadership communities.
- Presentational skills to a leadership audience.
- Literacy in assessing carrier production reports and performance indicators.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, marketing or finance required.
- Experience trading in the US or international retail and/or wholesale insurance market.
- Experience leading and growing a team.
- Experience in utilizing technology to enhance performance and efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a related field preferred.
- Must be able to travel to all offices, client offices and events as needed.
