Underwriting experience isn’t required – but a background in financial services or another regulated environment, plus a strong academic foundation, will help you succeed.

- Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail across all workstreams
- Learning the foundations of underwriting through structured mentoring and on‑the‑job training
This is a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven role that suits someone who is organised, diligent, and motivated by achieving results.
A confident communicator who enjoys speaking with brokers and negotiating terms is essential. We seek a dynamic, sales‑positive attitude with the drive to hit team targets, strong organisation and time‑management skills, and high attention to detail and accuracy in a technical environment. You should be comfortable working with numbers, analysing information and learning underwriting concepts. Competence in using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word is required. Experience in insurance or financial services is preferred but not essential. Prior Acturis experience is an advantage but full training is available. Degree‑level education is preferred, though we welcome applications from strong early‑career candidates.
