The candidate will play a support role to the Manager with a focus on daily oversight, monitoring policy data and supporting the underwriting administration teams in the Volante service companies located around the world. The role will require the candidate to develop an in-depth understanding of the Group's policy administration system. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and able to assess the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of underwriting transactions being performed by the various Volante service companies located around the world and help support continuous improvement initiatives.
How you’ll contribute:
- Monitor and communicate daily on bound policy data accuracy.
- Assist and support underwriting administration teams in the various Volante service companies.
- Assist with process improvement activity.
- Collaborate with underwriters, underwriting assistants, and other relevant departments to implement improvements that enhance the overall quality of underwriting processes.
- Support the monitoring and reporting on the key performance indicators (KPIs) related to accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
- Assist with documenting and maintaining the various Volante Underwriting Administration Manuals and Training documentation.
- Ability to work independently, and take reasonable initiative, whilst being a team player.
- General administration duties.
Requirements:
- Ideally some knowledge of insurance underwriting processes and principles.
- Experience with processing Reinsurance and DUA method of placement is desirable.
- Excellent understanding of the Microsoft 365 software (Excel, PowerPoint, Office and Word).
- Proven experience in underwriting roles with a focus on quality assurance and process improvement.
- Experience of the Lloyd's underwriting market and/or London Insurance market.
- Working in a collaborative team environment.
- Being able to work to tight deadlines.
