The role involves being a lead front-end developer who wants to help improve the home buyer process and build a great frontend engineering team. You will work closely with other front-end developers and the broader engineering organisation to deliver a smooth and seamless user experience for Acre. You will be highly motivated, technology agnostic, and passionate about the work you produce. Our team believes in user-centric product design, and you will be building an iconic, beautiful system unlike anything in the market today.
What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for the design, implementation and testing of the user interface that empowers consumers, brokers and operational functions to efficiently manage the mortgage research and application process.
- Write reusable, testable and efficient code that produces a seamless and beautiful user experience.
- Work with the business as a whole, converting business requirements into development tasks and mentoring other team members.
- Promote and ensure software engineering best practices and a culture of quality across the Frontend Development team and the code base.
Who you will be:
- Passionate about software engineering and delivering a quality product.
- Enjoy creating beautiful and enjoyable user interfaces that delight users.
- Have an excellent understanding and experience with client-side JavaScript (TypeScript), React, CSS and HTML.
- Committed to using automated testing platforms and unit tests to deliver readable, maintainable code.
- Proficient with issue management, code versioning, continuous integration and deployment tools.
