Acre is working in partnership with a leading UK housebuilder to appoint a Regional Environment,

Health & Safety Business Partner .

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business where Health & Safety is viewed as a key driver of operational excellence, with EHS professionals acting as trusted advisors to the business rather than simply compliance specialists.

As the Regional EHS Business Partner, you'll work closely with operational leadership teams to support the delivery of a positive safety culture, influence behavioural change, and ensure the highest standards of Environment, Health & Safety performance across a portfolio of live developments.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Regional Directors, Construction Directors, and operational teams to provide expert EHS support and guidance.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, influencing leaders to embed a positive and proactive safety culture.
  • Coach and support site teams to develop capability and ownership of Environment, Health & Safety.
  • Carry out site inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with company standards, legislation, and industry best practice.
  • Lead and support incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Deliver EHS training, coaching, and awareness sessions to operational teams.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, challenging existing practices, and introducing innovative solutions where appropriate.
  • Support the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and management systems.
  • Act as a visible and credible business partner, balancing operational needs with effective risk management.

Our client is looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.

You'll enjoy working closely with operational teams, building credibility, and helping people find practical solutions.

To be successful, you'll have

  • Significant Health & Safety experience within the construction industry.
  • Housebuilding or residential construction experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience working as a Business Partner, Advisor, or Manager supporting multiple construction sites.
  • A proven ability to influence behavioural and cultural change across operational teams.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, commercially aware, and collaborative approach.
  • A curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • CMIOSH or Grad IOSH status, with progression towards Chartered membership if applicable.
