Acrewood Nursery has the opportunity for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join their team. We are looking for someone who places the children at the heart of everything they do, supporting our ethos and curriculum. The nursery is open from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, and the role requires working varied shift patterns within this period.

Responsibilities

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Ensure that the statutory framework for the EYFS is met.
  • Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, promoting these standards daily within all routines.
  • Work to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
  • Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments.
  • Cover all children daily when colleagues are absent.
  • Attend regular team meetings to stay updated on key priorities, changes, and developments, and to review company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification – essential.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English – essential.
  • Over 1 year of experience working in Early Years – desirable.
  • Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements – desirable.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate – required for all posts. Subject to enhanced checks as part of our safeguarding duty.
