Overview

Duties include assisting the teacher to provide care and support for EYFS pupils, to support learning through planned and differentiated activities, preparation of an effective learning environment, and promoting and safeguarding the welfare of pupils. You will have a dynamic, exceptional, and creative approach to improving the teaching and learning in a way that benefits all our pupils. Previous experience in a school setting would be beneficial but is not essential; however, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate that they can engage with all our pupils and build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Support children’s learning through play and planned activities
  • Promote children’s wellbeing, independence, and development
  • Work closely with class teachers and the wider Early Years team
  • Support routines such as personal care, snack time, and outdoor learning
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment

Qualifications and qualities

  • Has experience working with young children (Early Years experience desirable)
  • Is patient, caring, and enthusiastic
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and child development
  • Is willing to support children with additional needs where required
