We are seeking a skilled CPCS 360 Driver to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating excavators safely and efficiently on various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery operation, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with relevant experience to contribute to high-quality infrastructure projects.
Duties
- Operate various size machines from 1t to 50t
- Conduct routine safety checks and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with site preparation and groundwork activities as needed
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operatives to coordinate tasks effectively
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to management
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and organised throughout the shift
Skills
- Proven experience in driving, particularly operating on construction sites
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on machinery
- Familiarity with excavators and their integration within site operations is advantageous
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to construction environments
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Valid CPCS card or CSCS NPORS card
