Overview

Contract: Permanent | Full-Time 8:30am–4:30pm

Salary: Up to £15 per hour (negotiable based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise room staff on a daily basis
  • Plan and deliver engaging EYFS activities
  • Act as Key Person for a group of children
  • Observe, assess, and track children's progress, reporting concerns to SENCO
  • Maintain a safe, high-quality learning environment
  • Support opening/closing procedures
  • Liaise with SENCO, parents, and external agencies
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) where required
  • Delegate tasks and maintain high standards across the team
  • Conduct health and safety checks and risk assessments
  • Attend staff meetings, training, and nursery events

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (UK recognised – essential)
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Strong EYFS and safeguarding knowledge
  • Supervisory/senior practitioner experience (desirable)
  • Professional, confident approach

Nursery Practitioner (Level 2/3)

Contract: Permanent | All Year Round

Hours: Full-time: 8:30 am–4:30 pm

Salary: £12.30 per hour (increase to £12.80 in April 2026) (based on experience & qualification)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with EYFS
  • Support children aged 0–5 with learning and development
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team
  • Support daily routines including mealtimes and personal care

What We're Looking For

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (UK recognised – essential)
  • OR Minimum 600 hours of documented UK nursery experience
  • Previous nursery experience preferred
  • Caring, reliable, professional approach
  • Good understanding of EYFS and safeguarding
  • Commitment to year-round hours
