Setting Size: Around 40 children & 15 staff members

About the Role

Lead and inspire a dedicated team of 15 practitioners in delivering outstanding Early Years provision for over 40 children. This non‑ratio, non‑office‑based role focuses predominantly on developing staff practice and enhancing the quality of provision on a daily basis.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 or above in Early Years/Childcare (UK recognised)
  • Proven experience in nursery management or senior leadership
  • Strong understanding of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of nursery operations
  • Develop and mentor staff through coaching, observations, and training
  • Ensure consistently high‑quality EYFS provision across all rooms
  • Maintain compliance with Ofsted standards and safeguarding requirements
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, families, and external agencies
  • Oversee curriculum planning and child development tracking
  • Manage health & safety, policies, and procedures
  • Focus on continuous improvement of staff practice and provision
  • Support recruitment and staff development
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead
