ACR Recruitment & Training Ltd are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and proactive Deputy Nursery Manager to join our client at a well-established nursery in Longford, Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare professional looking to take the next step in their career. Job Summary The Deputy Nursery Manager will assist in ensuring that all children attending the setting are kept safe and receive high-quality, stimulating play experiences suitable for their age and stage of development. They will also support the Nursery Manager in the daily operations of the setting, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Role Responsibilities Support the Nursery Manager in the daily running of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Ensure the nursery complies with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and health & safety requirements. Supervise and mentor nursery staff, promoting best practices and high standards of care. Assist in coordinating tasks and delegating responsibilities effectively. Work alongside the Director and Office Manager to support projects that enhance the nursery experience for children, staff, and families. Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents and carers, ensuring clear communication about children's development. Assist with administrative duties, including staff rotas, training, and nursery assessments. Support the nursery in preparing for Ofsted inspections and implementing any required recommendations. Take responsibility for any tasks delegated by the Nursery Manager. Qualifications and Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in a Deputy Nursery Manager role in the UK (essential). NVQ Level 3 or higher in Early Years Childcare (UK-recognised). Paediatric First Aid trained (essential). Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) certified – Level 3 (essential). Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work flexibly and be available between 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM. Additional Information The interview process will include an assessment in different rooms to evaluate the candidate’s suitability for the role. This is a full-time, year-round position.
