About the Roles
ACR Recruitment & Training Ltd are supporting a vibrant nursery in Northamptonshire in recruiting two passionate Room Leaders for their Baby Room and Pre-School Room. These are exciting opportunities to create nurturing, engaging environments where young learners can explore, develop, and thrive. As a Room Leader, you'll guide your team in delivering high-quality care and education, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire your room team to deliver exceptional standards of care and education
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities in line with EYFS 2025
- Support children's individual needs through tailored care plans, including those with SEND
- Act as Key Person, building strong relationships with families
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Foster positive behaviour management strategies
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members
- Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure emergency procedures are up to date
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 or above in Childcare (UK recognised)
- Health and Social Care qualifications are not recognised by Ofsted
- Proven nursery experience with strong room management and leadership skills
- Sound knowledge of childhood development and EYFS 2025 framework
- Experience with behaviour management in early years settings
- First Aid certification (or willingness to complete – we can arrange training)
- Enhanced DBS check required
Desirable:
- Experience with infants, toddlers, or children with SEND
- Previous Room Leader or supervisory experience
Personal Qualities:
- Warm, professional, child-centred approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passionate about making a positive difference in children's lives
