Our client is a PE Backed, B2B SaaS Scale-Up, providing Retail Technology to some of the world’s leading Retailers based in the UK, EU and US. They are in the process of transforming the business into being truly product led and as a result have gone through a recent and significant restructure of their Product and Technology organisation.
We’re seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to lead a team of 2, reporting into the Director, responsible for the development, testing and maintenance of a core component of their platform. The role will involve close collaboration with the product team and other engineering teams to design and deliver new capabilities and ensure the overall platform meets the needs of customers.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years leading teams (3+), with proven experience mentoring and managing developers.
- Experience of React & Ruby are essential.
- A deep passion for technology, paired with enthusiasm for creating exceptional user experiences.
- Strong understanding and demonstrated expertise in applying user-centred design principles.
- Hands-on experience working within Agile methodologies and environments.
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a software engineer within a SaaS product organization.
Core Responsibilities:
- Defining and setting objectives for the development team.
- Writing code that aligns with their Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Contributing within the framework of their Product Delivery Lifecycle.
- Ensuring the team consistently achieves sprint commitments.
- Designing and building the back-end services that support the UI.
- Creating and maintaining automated tests.
- Conducting performance testing on finalized code.
