Growing Preschool Academy has an immediate opening for a Teacher to join our team.
Must be energetic, a team player, and maintain a positive attitude. Must meet the basic requirements of the local child care regulatory agency. Previous experience is preferred.
We are a partner with T.E.A.C.H. Florida Program, sharing tuition costs and expenses to create buy-in and a commitment to succeed from all sides of the program.
About T.E.A.C.H. T.E.A.C.H. stands for Teacher Education And Compensation Helps. The program provides scholarships to early learning and afterschool teachers, directors, family child care home educators, and child care facility owners working towards various credentials and degrees in early childhood education. A major goal of T.E.A.C.H. is to link professional development, increased compensation, and commitment to retain the Florida early care and education workforce.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise children at all times, maintaining a secure, safe environment for play and learning.
- Attend ongoing training to stay updated on education and regulations.
- Implement and create lesson plans based on a monthly theme.
- Complete necessary classroom reports.
- Follow the centerβs policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as those from DCF.
Requirements:
- Early childhood classroom teaching experience (preferred).
- Must be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
- Must be a team player, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, with children\’s needs as the primary focus.
- Have a love for children and a strong desire to make a difference.
Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma
- 45 DCF Hours required
- CPR and First Aid (training can be provided during job training)
