Own the revenue engine. Build what’s missing. Scale what matters.
If you’ve ever looked at a high-growth DTC brand and thought: “I know exactly how I’d improve that site…” This is your opportunity to actually do it.
The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a fast-scaling, digital-native consumer brand (8-figure revenue, on track for 9) that has built a highly effective acquisition engine. Traffic is strong. Brand is strong. Growth is strong. But there’s a gap: No true owner of what happens after the click. This role is about changing that.
You’ll take full ownership of the website as a commercial channel — driving conversion, increasing order value, and building the roadmap that unlocks the next stage of growth.
What You’ll Own
- Owning conversion rate, AOV, and revenue performance
- Building a commercial ecommerce roadmap from scratch
- Running a relentless CRO programme (test, learn, scale)
- Optimising:
- Product pages
- Navigation & merchandising
- Checkout & payment experience
You’ll work closely with performance marketing, brand, and product — ensuring the site actually converts the traffic being driven.
Who This Is For
You’ll likely be someone who:
- Has spent years deep in ecommerce trading, CRO, and merchandising
- Has worked in a digital-native / DTC environment
- Is frustrated by: slow decision-making, lack of ownership or being too far from impact
- And is ready for: Full accountability + real influence
What You’ve Done
- Owned or heavily influenced an ecommerce site’s commercial performance
- Delivered measurable improvements in:
- Conversion rate
- AOV
- On-site experience
What This Isn’t
This is not the right role if you:
- Come from a CRM / lifecycle-first background
- Are primarily a performance marketer
- Prefer strategy over execution
- Need a highly structured, slow-moving environment
This is a hands-on, fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Why This Role Is Different
- Real Ownership: No existing “owner” of ecommerce — you define it.
- Visible Impact: Your work directly drives revenue. Fast.
- Build, Don’t Maintain: You’re not inheriting a polished machine — you’re building the roadmap.
- High-Growth Environment: Backed by strong leadership and serious momentum.
- Senior Exposure: You’ll influence key decisions and investment priorities.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 6 months:
- A clear, prioritised commercial roadmap
- CRO programme up and running
- Measurable improvements in:
- Conversion rate
- AOV
- Customer journey performance
Package
£90k–£110k base (depending on experience) Bonus Hybrid working
Final Thought
If you’re someone who:
- Sees ecommerce as a commercial system, not just a channel
- Loves the idea of owning outcomes, not just inputs
- And wants to build something properly, not just optimise around the edges
This is a rare opportunity to step into a role with real ownership and real impact.
