Shape Customer Growth at a High-Growth FinTech. Do you think about customer journeys the way other people think about their favourite films — mapping every moment, every emotional beat, every turn? Are you someone who lights up when data tells a story, and gets genuinely excited about testing ideas that actually move the needle?
Our client, a fast-growing FinTech, is seeking a CRM Strategist to sit at the heart of how they communicate with customers across their entire customer lifecycle. This is a strategic role in which your ideas directly influence product direction, growth targets, and how millions of pounds flow through the business.
What The Role Involves
- Translating strategy into action — Take business objectives and turn them into testable CRM initiatives that actually move the dial.
- Leading the thinking — Run workshops to ideate new lifecycle campaigns and growth plays; be the strategic voice that shapes CRM across the vertical.
- Building the roadmap — Create quarterly plans that align CRM with product releases, squad priorities, and business goals.
- Proving impact — Own performance dashboards and reporting, showing exactly how CRM contributes to growth (and finding the next opportunity hidden in the data).
- Cross-functional leadership — Work closely with Product, Growth, and Data teams; provide briefs and direction that guide how campaigns get built.
This is a role that combines creative thinking with analytical rigour. You’ll see the big picture, understand behaviour, and shape how your client communicates at scale.
Why This Role Stands Out
- Strategic credibility. You’ll own strategy for a business that’s genuinely growing fast. Your fingerprints will be on decisions that shape product, growth, and customer experience — not just another campaign calendar.
- Data storytelling at scale. If you love finding insight in data and presenting it in a way that makes people actually change their minds, this is where you do it. You’ll be building dashboards and frameworks that prove CRM’s ROI, not justifying work that’s already been approved.
- Clear visibility. The work gets measured, tested, and debated. No vanity metrics. Just hard evidence of what works.
- Specialist market. CRM strategy roles in high-growth fintech are rare and competitive. This is a credential that opens doors — building expertise in a space that’s genuinely valuable right now.
- Collaborative environment. The role is never siloed. Working with Product, Growth, Engineering, and Data teams where strategic thinking directly influences what they prioritise.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in CRM or Lifecycle Marketing strategy (ideally in high-growth or fintech).
- Platform knowledge — Familiarity with CRM platforms (Braze experience is a plus), lifecycle automation, and how they work.
- Analytical mindset — You’re comfortable designing experiments, setting hypotheses, and interpreting results. Performance reporting and dashboards don’t scare you; they excite you.
- Communication chops — You can present to senior stakeholders and influence decisions. You translate complexity into clarity.
- Planning discipline — You juggle multiple projects and priorities without dropping anything.
- Curiosity — You’re genuinely interested in how people behave and how communication changes that behaviour.
Nice to have: Braze certification, experience in a regulated industry, or a background in a high-growth consumer brand.
The Role in Numbers
- Strategic, not operational — You’re not building campaigns; you’re building strategy.
- Cross-functional — You work with Product, Growth, Data, and beyond.
- Impact-driven — Your work is measured against business outcomes, not activity.
- Growth-focused — This client is scaling fast; you’re shaping how they communicate at scale.
