This is a step up from the usual recruitment grind. Instead of juggling high-volume, low-fee jobs, you’ll focus on fewer, higher-value assignments that bring real earning potential and stronger client relationships. You’ll work side-by-side with founders and leadership teams, giving you more influence and visibility than you’d get at a traditional agency.
What makes this even more unique – especially in Bournemouth – is the type of clients you’ll work with. We collaborate with some of the UK’s most exciting consumer brands in pet, health & wellness and food & beverage. Many are brands you’ll already know, use or see advertised. That makes your work more real. You’re not just filling jobs, you’re helping brands grow. You’ll be able to tell people who you’re working with and later spot those brands on shelves or TV. That’s something most local recruitment jobs don’t give you.
You’ll also follow a clear development path – learning to recruit properly, building your own niche, and working towards owning a part of the market. With direct access to the founder and ongoing training, you’ll develop faster and have more control over your career. If you want better quality work, more ownership and to feel connected to the brands you support, this gives you that chance.
What you’ll do
- You’ll support the delivery of live recruitment roles across marketing, growth and related functions within DTC and consumer brands. This will involve sourcing, engaging and qualifying candidates through LinkedIn, networking and proactive outreach, and conducting screening calls to assess their experience, motivations and fit.
- You’ll build and maintain structured talent pools within defined market areas, mapping target companies and identifying relevant talent across specific verticals like pet, wellness and food & beverage. Keeping accurate records of candidate interactions, insights and market activity will also be key.
- Working closely with the Head of Delivery, you’ll help manage candidate processes from initial contact to placement, while developing a strong understanding of client requirements, company culture and role expectations.
- As you gain experience, you’ll contribute market insights and support new business development. Over time, you’ll take ownership of a specific niche, building deeper expertise and candidate networks.
- You’ll also support early-stage client interactions and collaborate with the founder on pipeline development and commercial strategy as your role progresses.
What you’ll need
- 6–18 months’ experience in recruitment, sales, or a target-driven, people-facing job
- Right to work in the UK and ability to work in a hybrid Bournemouth-based role
- Strong communication skills, particularly over phone and video
- Confidence engaging and building rapport with new people
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative
- Highly organised, with good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Coachable, with a willingness to learn and develop quickly
- Commercial awareness and interest in business, sales, or recruitment
