Tired of being just another cog in the machine? You will be part of a small, dynamic team creating a brand-new digital ecosystem for one of the UK's most exciting premium pet food brands as they revolutionise their online presence.

As a Backend Developer with 3-4 years of experience, you are probably looking for that perfect mix: challenging work, modern tech stack, genuine impact on business outcomes, and a team that values clean, well-tested code over move fast and break things chaos.

You will join at the foundation stage of building a cutting-edge headless e-commerce platform that will eventually support 25+ brands across Europe. Your code will directly power the digital transformation of a multi-million-pound premium pet brand with ambitious growth plans.

You will work with a tech-first, data-driven approach using AWS, serverless architecture, and modern development practices. You will play a crucial role in migrating a successful e-commerce business to a modern, scalable platform by December, building:

  • Serverless Lambda functions and API gateways using TypeScript/Node.js
  • AWS infrastructure with Terraform
  • The foundation of an authentication service, cart service, and full checkout flow
  • APIs that connect the frontend experience to critical business systems
