You’ll be responsible for bringing in money and making sure fundraising events actually deliver results—not just good vibes. This role combines relationship-building, planning, and execution. You’ll manage donors, organise events, and find new ways to generate income for the charity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fundraising
    • Develop and deliver fundraising campaigns (online, community, corporate, and major donors)
    • Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners
    • Identify new funding opportunities (grants, partnerships, sponsorships)
    • Write funding applications and proposals
    • Track and report on fundraising performance and income targets
    • Manage donor communications, updates, and retention strategies
  • Events Management
    • Plan, organise, and deliver fundraising events (e.g. galas, community events, corporate functions)
    • Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics
    • Secure venues, suppliers, and sponsorships
    • Promote events across social media, email, and local networks
    • Ensure events run smoothly and hit financial targets
    • Evaluate event success and improve future performance
  • Marketing & Promotion
    • Support campaigns with basic marketing (social media, email, flyers)
    • Work with internal or external teams on branding and messaging
    • Increase awareness of the charity and its work
  • Administration
    • Maintain accurate donor and event records (CRM systems)
    • Monitor budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery
    • Produce reports on fundraising activities and outcomes

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in fundraising, events, or sales
  • Strong organisational skills – able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Confident communicator (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable asking for money and building relationships
