Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising
- Develop and deliver fundraising campaigns (online, community, corporate, and major donors)
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners
- Identify new funding opportunities (grants, partnerships, sponsorships)
- Write funding applications and proposals
- Track and report on fundraising performance and income targets
- Manage donor communications, updates, and retention strategies
- Events Management
- Plan, organise, and deliver fundraising events (e.g. galas, community events, corporate functions)
- Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics
- Secure venues, suppliers, and sponsorships
- Promote events across social media, email, and local networks
- Ensure events run smoothly and hit financial targets
- Evaluate event success and improve future performance
- Marketing & Promotion
- Support campaigns with basic marketing (social media, email, flyers)
- Work with internal or external teams on branding and messaging
- Increase awareness of the charity and its work
- Administration
- Maintain accurate donor and event records (CRM systems)
- Monitor budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery
- Produce reports on fundraising activities and outcomes
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in fundraising, events, or sales
- Strong organisational skills – able to manage multiple projects at once
- Confident communicator (written and verbal)
- Comfortable asking for money and building relationships
- Good attention to detail and budget management
- Experience with social media and basic marketing
- Self-motivated – can get things done without constant supervision
