About The Role
Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust is a children\’s charity that offers specialist palliative nursing care and support for local children and their families. Each year we support over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families, including those who are bereaved.
We operate a network of charity shops across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire that help fund the care we provide. As Community Shop Manager for the Walsall shop you will create an exciting shop‑floor experience that makes Acorns stand out from our competitors. You will make local decisions on the quality of stock, pricing and merchandising, lead volunteers to uphold these standards, and maximise every sales opportunity by reviewing reports and using data to guide decisions.
About You
- Retail experience and experience of working towards targets
- Experience of leading and motivating a team
- IT skills
- Happy to work weekends
- Enjoy a role that involves significant levels of manual handling
- Ability to travel independently to cover shops in the area if needed
We want our Shop Managers to embed their shop into the fabric of the local community by proactively assessing opportunities for community involvement, so ideally you will be based in the local area.
