Join Acorns Children's Hospice as our Deputy Community Superstore Manager and help lead our thriving Bescot Superstore in Walsall. You'll work closely with the Superstore Manager to motivate and develop volunteers, drive sales growth and exceed targets that support our vital children's hospice services. This is a temporary part-time role, working 22.5 hours per week (for 6 months)

About the Role

Acorns Children's Hospice are a children's charity, offering specialist palliative nursing care and support for local children and their families. Every year, we support over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families, including those who are bereaved. We have a network of charity shops across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire, which help to provide the funding that we need to provide this care.

As Deputy Community Superstore Manager, you will:

  • Drive sales and maximise income through donations, customer purchases and Gift Aid promotion
  • Help create a vibrant and inspiring shopping experience that sets Acorns apart and keeps customers coming back
  • Use your retail expertise to make key decisions on stock selection, pricing and eye-catching visual merchandising
  • Lead, motivate and develop a passionate team of volunteers, helping them thrive and achieve their best

About You

  • Retail experience and experience of working towards targets
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Enjoy a role that involves significant levels of manual handling
