We are recruiting a Foot Mobile Engineer to cover a prestigious Central London patch including Covent Garden, the West End and Westminster. This is a walking mobile role, with engineers travelling between sites on foot and via public transport. The position suits someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable working independently while maintaining high standards of service across multiple client locations.
You will carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs across a varied portfolio of client sites, working independently but supported by a dedicated helpdesk and contract management team.
Salary: up to £44000 depending on experience plus overtime and callout
Hours: 41.25 hours a week

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and reactive repairs across assigned sites
- Attend call‑outs during normal working hours and participate in the out‑of‑hours emergency rota
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Liaise closely with the internal helpdesk and administration teams
- Accurately complete reports, job sheets and compliance documentation
- Maintain log books and site records
- Ensure punctual attendance, professional presentation and correct use of PPE
What we are looking for:
- Good working knowledge of M&E building services
- Experience with HVAC plant including air conditioning, boilers, controls, heating and ventilation
- Strong awareness of health and safety requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Time‑served mechanical or maintenance engineer (apprenticeship preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Personal Skills:
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Highly organised and self‑motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Able to assess faults and make informed maintenance decisions
Location Focus: This role is dedicated to Covent Garden, the West End and Westminster, making it ideal for engineers experienced in working across high‑density, central London environments using public transport.
