The Employer Engagement & Apprentice Recruitment Consultant is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with employers to generate apprenticeship opportunities while sourcing, screening, and matching suitable candidates to apprenticeship vacancies. The role plays a key part in supporting employer workforce development needs and helping individuals access high-quality apprenticeship opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Employer Engagement
- Develop and manage relationships with new and existing employer partners.
- Promote apprenticeship programmes and workforce development solutions to businesses across a range of sectors.
- Identify employer recruitment needs and create apprenticeship opportunities.
- Conduct employer meetings, presentations, and networking activities to generate new business opportunities.
- Provide employers with advice and guidance on apprenticeship funding, compliance, and programme requirements.
- Maintain regular contact with employer partners to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Work collaboratively with delivery and curriculum teams to align apprenticeship provision with employer demand.
- Meet agreed employer engagement and apprenticeship vacancy targets.
- Apprentice Recruitment
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, schools, colleges, careers events, and community engagement activities.
- Screen applicants through interviews, assessments, and suitability checks.
- Match candidates to employer vacancies and apprenticeship programmes.
- Support candidates throughout the recruitment process, including CV development, interview preparation, and onboarding.
- Manage apprenticeship vacancies and applicant tracking systems to ensure accurate and timely records.
- Coordinate interviews between employers and candidates.
- Ensure recruitment activities are compliant with safeguarding, equality, diversity, and data protection requirements.
- Monitor recruitment performance and conversion rates against targets.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build relationships with schools, colleges, job centres, community organisations, and careers services to generate candidate referrals.
- Attend careers fairs, employer events, networking opportunities, and apprenticeship promotional activities.
- Act as an ambassador for the organisation and apprenticeship programmes.
- Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records within CRM and learner management systems.
- Produce reports on employer engagement activities, vacancies, recruitment outcomes, and pipeline performance.
- Ensure all recruitment and onboarding documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales.
- Stay up to date with apprenticeship funding rules, labour market trends, and sector developments.
