Key Responsibilities:
- To support the House Manager to implement and develop the aims and objectives of the service in consultation with senior management.
- To lead in creating a warm and welcoming environment with care and compassion that fosters well-being and comfort for all.
- To manage handovers and coordinate the house plans in a way that ensures effective running of the service.
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care to our children and young people in a therapeutic residential setting.
- To have an up to date working knowledge of the organisations policies and procedures and role model their delivery.
- To support the house manager in monitoring and responding to understanding and compliance of policies.
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with children and young people to understand and cater their individual needs.
- Assist with daily living activities, including meals, medication, and potentially personal care.
- Participate and grow with our regular training and personal development opportunities.
- To mentor and coach staff team members.
- Provide support and supervision to staff when required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to development and growth of our team, managing staff team meetings.
- To represent Acorn Scotland within professional meetings.
- To support in rota management during absences and or when requested by the house manager.
- To support in managing the service expenditure and operating within budgets.
