Acorn Engineering are seeking a highly organised and proactive Electrical Services Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our electrical division. This is a fast‐paced role requiring strong coordination, communication, and administrative skills to ensure all works are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Location: Slough

Salary: on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours a week – Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee personal workload including quotes, call‐outs, RAMS documentation, and task scheduling
  • Process and review daily engineer reports, ensuring tasks are completed or rescheduled where required
  • Maintain documents, materials, and job trackers, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date
  • Upload and manage compliance documentation, including detailed report checks and system updates
  • Chase outstanding responses from internal teams to ensure smooth job delivery
  • Process approved quotes, including raising purchase orders, ordering materials, and coordinating engineer availability
  • Manage deliveries, ensuring materials are correct, logged, and ready for engineer use
  • Arrange hire equipment, including quoting, ordering, and scheduling delivery and collection
  • Planning:
    • Allocate engineers based on skills, qualifications, and job requirements
    • Prepare daily and weekly schedules, ensuring engineers have all required documentation and materials
    • Manage out‐of‐hours works and call‐outs, liaising closely with engineers and clients
    • Produce and distribute daily "daybook" schedules for engineers
  • Compliance & Support:
    • Create RAMS documentation to support quoted works and PPM tasks
    • Monitor dashboards and job progress, ensuring no tasks are missed
    • Act as a key point of contact for engineers, supporting queries and resolving issues
    • Organise and lead weekly meetings with engineers to review workload and requirements
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Support air conditioning administration when required, including inbox management and call handling
    • Raise purchase orders and assist with general administrative duties across the wider team

    About You:

    • Strong organisational and time management skills
    • Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment and manage multiple tasks
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
    • Experience in a similar administrative or coordination role desirable
    • Knowledge of electrical services or facilities management is advantageous
