A

Senior Infrastructure Technician to provide third-line technical support The role will be responsible for maintaining and supporting critical digital infrastructure, including

EOC systems, Windows server infrastructure, LAN/WAN networks, telephony and business applications.

You will act as a senior technical resource within the Digital Team, supporting complex technical issues, maintaining system availability and contributing to infrastructure, security, asset management and digital projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide

third-line technical support across networks, hardware, software, telecommunications and critical EOC systems.

  • Manage the daily maintenance, monitoring and availability of Trust-wide digital infrastructure.
  • Act as a senior technical resource, supporting and advising first- and second-line technicians.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, escalating to third-party suppliers where required.
  • Plan and deliver system upgrades, repairs, maintenance and technical improvements.
  • Monitor system and network health and ensure issues, risks and incidents are appropriately escalated.
  • Support technical workstreams within digital and infrastructure projects.
  • Provide technical advice to managers and users on systems, infrastructure and resilience.
  • Assist with the specification and procurement of hardware, software and digital systems, ensuring value for money.
  • Maintain IT asset records, supplier information and contracts.
  • Support information governance, digital security and compliance requirements.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to users when required.
  • Participate in

on-call rota and provide technical support during major incidents.

  • Deputise for the Digital Delivery Manager (Infrastructure) when required.
  • Manage and prioritise your own workload while supporting wider Digital Team requirements.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in

third-line infrastructure support, with a broad technical understanding of networks, servers, hardware, telephony and business-critical applications. You will be confident troubleshooting complex issues, working with suppliers and supporting technical projects within a fast-paced environment.
