Are you an experienced Health, Safety, and Quality professional looking for a new challenge? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment? Our company based in Honiton is currently looking for a Health, Safety, and Quality Coordinator to join our team and support our operations with HSEQ.
As a Health, Safety, and Quality Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing advice and support to our business operations, ensuring that all aspects of health, safety, environmental, and quality are effectively managed. You will work closely with operational teams to identify and assess risks, develop and implement control measures, and monitor compliance with regulations and company policies.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in HSEQ, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude towards ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our employees and the protection of the environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct risk assessments and support operational teams in identifying and addressing potential health, safety, and environmental hazards
- Provide advice and guidance to business operations on all HSEQ matters, including compliance with regulations and company policies
- Assist in external audits and ensure all corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement
- Deliver on-site training and toolbox talks to employees to promote a strong safety culture
- Prepare and review method statements, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to ensure safe and efficient work practices
- Support our Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program to ensure equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar HSEQ role
- Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices
- Strong understanding of quality management systems such as ISO and OHSAS
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing control measures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver engaging training sessions and presentations
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities and able to meet deadlines
