Role: Customer Service Advisor

Location: Barnstaple

Contract: Temporary ongoing

Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour

Acorn by Synergie are recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor for a temporary role based in Barnstaple.

Main Duties:

• To handle all telephone calls, emails (including social media) and any written correspondence in a professional, polite and efficient manner
• Proactively research, respond to and resolve in a timely and professional manner, a wide range of complex and in depth problems covering a wide range of council activitHies
• To take credit/debit card and cheque payments.
• To support the customer complaints and feedback system by receiving and inputting complaints, comments, service requests, and compliments directly onto the appropriate IT system and providing advice and guidance to customers
• Complete forms, applications and respond to more complex correspondence on behalf of customers and advise on eligibility for services.
• Provide high standards of customer care acting in a friendly and knowledgeable manner to both external and internal customers

Experience required:

• At least 12 months experience in a customer service or public facing role, including first point of contact issue resolution.
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and ability to identify diversity issues, including identifying Safeguarding concerns, in service delivery.
• Microsoft Package Qualification and Experience
• Experience of working positively as part of a team and using own initiative to problem solve and conclude enquiries
