Join APSS. APSS is looking for a proactive Sales Estimator to join our growing team. This role suits someone who enjoys speaking with clients, pricing work accurately, and helping turn enquiries into live projects. You’ll be involved from first enquiry and site visit, through pricing and tender submission, right through to handover into delivery, working closely with our design, commercial and project teams. Since 1997, APSS has delivered high-quality commercial interior fit-out and refurbishment projects across office, retail, industrial, education and healthcare sectors, operating nationwide from our Lincoln base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming enquiries and qualify opportunities
  • Arrange site visits / surveys to understand scope and constraints
  • Measure works from drawings and site information
  • Build estimates and tender submissions (labour, materials, subcontractors, prelims)
  • Send out enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers and compare returns
  • Identify risks, assumptions and exclusions clearly within submissions
  • Negotiate with suppliers / subcontractors to secure best value
  • Work with design and delivery teams to ensure the scope is accurate and buildable
  • Present pricing to clients, answer tender queries and support negotiations
  • Maintain an estimating pipeline and keep records up to date
  • Support handover to the project team, including budgets and commercial info
  • Help improve estimating templates and processes as the business grows

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in an estimating / sales estimating / commercial role within construction, fit-out or interiors
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator – comfortable dealing with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Able to manage workload and hit deadlines (often multiple tenders running at once)
  • Commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem solving
  • Good IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Full UK driving licence preferred

Ideal for Developing Candidates

  • Experience within commercial interiors, refurbishment, or fast-track programmes
