APSS Ltd is looking for a creative and motivated Interior Designer / Workplace Designer to join our growing design team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of commercial interior fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK, helping to create inspiring workplaces and environments for our clients.

From initial concepts through to project completion, you'll play a key role in transforming client briefs into innovative, practical and commercially successful design solutions.

Since 1997, APSS has delivered high-quality interior design, fit-out and refurbishment projects across the office, retail, industrial, education and healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop creative interior design concepts in response to client briefs
  • Produce space planning layouts, mood boards and presentation material
  • Prepare detailed drawing packages, specifications and construction information
  • Create high-quality 3D visualisations and client presentations
  • Work closely with the sales, commercial and project management teams throughout the design process
  • Attend client meetings, design workshops and site surveys
  • Coordinate designs with consultants, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Ensure designs comply with current Building Regulations and relevant legislation
  • Select finishes, furniture, fixtures and materials to meet both aesthetic and functional requirements
  • Respond to design changes and client feedback throughout project deliverySupport the successful delivery of projects from concept through to completion
  • Maintain company drawing standards, procedures and quality systems

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in commercial interior design, workplace design or commercial fit-out
  • A creative eye with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent space planning and technical drawing skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • A proactive and organised approach to work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of client requirements
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)

Software Experience

Experience with the following software would be advantageous:

  • AutoCAD
  • SketchUp
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
  • Microsoft Office
  • Revit (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of 3D rendering software (desirable)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree or HND in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related discipline
  • Experience within commercial interiors and workplace design
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations and construction detailing
  • Understanding of furniture specification and workplace standards
