We are currently looking for a Quality Control Operator to join our Steeton Factory based at our Head Office in West Yorkshire, UK. As a Quality Control Operator, you’ll be at the heart of our manufacturing process, ensuring every stairlift component meets the highest standards set by our Quality Control Manager. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail and precision are key.
Hourly Rate: £13.05 P/H
Type of Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm

The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in a manufacturing role with a focus on quality
- Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence is advantageous
- Must be conscientious and thorough person with a proven track record
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Be able to work to an extremely high quality standard
- Familiarity with quality tools, jigs, and working from technical drawings

Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of product quality by meticulously inspecting all elements, including bends, carriages, and performing necessary chemical checks to ensure compliance with standards.
- To carry out measurements with precision tools, working to small tolerances.
- Measuring and recording of incoming parts from suppliers and outgoing products.
- Complete detailed work sheets, participate in regular audits, and generate quality reports with a high level of accuracy.
- Effectively communicate critical quality-related information across all levels of the organization, ensuring clarity, timeliness, and relevance.
- Compile and record information/data using quality control check sheets, and communicating quickly any out of control processes.
