We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our established team, covering client sites across our London sites and the surrounding urban areas. This is a mobile role involving electrical installation works, testing, inspection and reactive maintenance within commercial environments.
Due to the operational requirements of the business and response times for client sites, it is critical that applicants live within one hour of Central London during peak traffic conditions.
Location: Central London and the surrounding urban areas.
Salary: Up to £44,000 depending on experience plus overtime and callout.
Hours: 41.25 hours a week.

Role Overview & Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical installation works within commercial premises
- Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
- Carry out periodic emergency lighting inspections and testing
- Fault diagnosis and rectification on electrical systems
- Testing and certification of electrical installations and minor works in line with BS7671
- Work in accordance with NIC/EIC approved contractor requirements
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and internal teams
- Maintain site logs, diaries, task sheets and photographic reports
- Organise daily workload efficiently and work proactively
What we are looking for:
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installations
- Experience testing and certifying electrical systems
- Ability to fault‑find and rectify electrical issues
- Experience with emergency lighting and fire alarm systems
- Knowledge of DALI lighting control systems
- Experience with BMS control wiring and fault finding
Qualifications:
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394 & 2395 (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Completed electrical apprenticeship
- IPAF and PASMA (desirable)
Personal Skills:
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
- Professional, reliable and self‑motivated
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
Critical Location Requirement: Applicants must live within one hour of Central London during peak traffic. Applications from candidates outside this travel radius will not meet the requirements of the role.
