Role: Claims Handler\\n\\nLocation: Liverpool\\n\\nWorking hours: 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday rotating shifts between 8:00am to 6:00pm, with occasional weekend and bank holiday working.\\n\\nSalary: Annual salary of £24,255 – £28,731 DOE\\n\\nPlus a performance related bonus opportunity of up to £1,500 annually\\n\\nAbout Acorn Insurance\\n With over 40 years of experience, Acorn Insurance is a specialist provider dedicated to helping individuals secure motor insurance across the UK. We proudly serve more than 50,000 customers, ensuring they find policies that meet their needs and provide the peace of mind that comes with high-quality cover.\\n\\nClaims Handler\\n\\nWe are looking for experienced, proactive Claims Handlers who are used to working in a fast-paced motor insurance environment to join our successful Recovery department.\\nIn this role you will manage your own insurance claims caseload through a process, ensuring efficient recovery minimising losses where liability on a claim may be attributed to a third party. You will provide guidance and direction to claims staff to ensure the recovery prospects on cases are compliant with industry regulations.\\nYou will ensure customers are provided with an excellent customer experience in addition to being innovative and proactive when dealing with all aspects of customer & third-party claims.\\n\\nWhat you will be doing:\\n\\nEffectively manage Non-Fault Recovery portfolio\\nManage claims effectively to deliver the right outcome for our Customers\\nProvide first class technical and quality claims handling within the Recovery Team\\nDemonstrate thorough knowledge in areas of indemnity, liability and dealing with the financials of a claim\\nReview and record all new allocations, ensuring minimal leakage\\nManage claims and provide evidence to support prompt and full resolution in our favour\\nDrive adherence to relevant SLA's within the team and our suppliers\\nDemonstrate excellent technical knowledge with regards to liability\\nNegotiation of subrogated outlays\\nManage a portfolio of aged debt\\nLiaise with solicitors when our outlay is in litigation\\nProvide updates on aged debt profilin in form of MI reportingWhat we're looking for:\\n\\nAble to work to tight timescales\\nHighly motivated self-starter\\nAble to pay attention to detail\\nAnalytically minded\\nRegulatory aware\\nA strong communicator and able to communicate well at all levels both verbally and in writing\\nHighly self-motivated\\nPro-active thinker, clear, focused and a determined approach to problem solving\\nPersuasive and possesses confident negotiation skillsWellbeing:\\n\\nEnhanced Annual Leave entitlement starting at 31 days and potentially increasing to 35 days per year depending on grade & length of service (including bank holidays)\\nEnhanced paternity pay and 16 weeks full maternity pay.\\nColleague Assistance programme offers a suite of wellbeing services such as:\\n6 Free Counselling sessions per year\\nUnlimited access to a telephone councillor 24/7\\nAccess to a free 4-week programme of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with a trained therapist mentor.\\nNetwork of internal qualified mental health first aiders are available to provide support to colleagues.Financial:\\n\\nA core level of life assurance with the option to increase cover via salary sacrifice and add your spouse/partner\\nAbility to access your earnings before payday via Dayforce Wallet.\\nCompany pension scheme\\nRefer a friend scheme with a £250 bonus for every colleague recommended on passing their probation period.\\nAccess to a flexible benefits platform including an annual flex pot allowance to spend on over 15 benefits of your choice.\\nAbility to give back.
