The Acorn Group are currently recruiting for a Lead Business Analyst who will be responsible for coaching Business Analysts in their role and helping develop their skills. As Lead Business Analyst you will be leading a group of BAs and setting up standards for them to follow with set policies and procedures. This role will have a heavy reliance on working with the DBA team and making sure all their needs are met with data structure/types as we develop out our data warehouse.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage appropriate Monday boards
  • Ensure all attendees of meetings are updated with a RAID format email, with the appropriate actions and decisions expedited depending on importance
  • Create policies & procedures for peers to follow including ASIS/TO BE style flows
  • Coach BAs for them to become more self-sufficient
  • Attend and contribute to daily standups
  • Provide suitable updates to senior team members and stakeholders each week
  • Help promote an altruistic culture across the team
  • Ensure that accurate notetaking is in place within the appropriate software
  • Guarantee appropriate high priority issues are circulated to Leaders
  • Challenge and provide alternative approaches to Projects and Change requests using a wide knowledge of existing systems and Business Processes

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a project management/ BA environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Prince2 would be highly preferred
  • Understanding and previous exposure to SQL
  • Experience within Insurance would be beneficial
  • Proven experience leading/ coaching teams
