Role: Open Source Intelligence Analyst

Location: Liverpool / Hybrid

Working hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 plus the opportunity to achieve an annual bonus of up to £1,500

What you will be doing:

  • Conducting OSINT analysis and use intelligence data to produce reports, responses, artifacts, recommendations, findings and products to priority intelligence requirements as directed.
  • Preserving digital material in accordance with applicable standards and protocol for evidentiary material.
  • Understand, respond to and deliver on the needs of the customers to build and maintain networks of constructive relationships.
  • Proactively identify OSINT techniques to meet intelligence requirements and methodically test and evaluate OSINT tools/platforms for use within the business.
  • Maintaining links with peers, industry groups and forums to scan and support capability development.
  • Be able to provide training and mentoring, and provide additional capacity and capability to the intelligence team as required.
  • Be aware of the latest technological and legal updates relevant to the role.
  • Develop relationships within the different areas of the business to understand and recognise their intelligence requirements and optimise the use of OSINT.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the surveillance team and be on hand via messaging apps/telephone to provide intelligence on live deployments.
  • Promoting awareness to the rest of the business and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Undertaking trials and POC’s for new solutions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies regarding TCF, GDPR and FCA regulations.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience of conducting open source research and analysis.
  • Intricate knowledge of social media platforms and how they can be utilised for research purposes.
  • Advanced internet-based research and techniques.
  • Writing professional intelligence products (reports etc.).
  • Working as part of multi-discipline teams.
  • Ability to multi-task and accomplish tasks with limited supervision and respond to short-notice tasking.
