The Group is looking for an Insurance Analyst to join our Pricing and Underwriting team working in the Performance Monitoring section.
Role Title: Insurance Analyst
Location: Liverpool City Centre, Hybrid working available
Salary: up to £32,500 depending on experience
Working hours: 37.5 Hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm
What you will be doing:
- Mentor newer members of the team, be the go‑to person for support and help them develop their insurance knowledge.
- Monitor business performance and report on any potential risks or opportunities identified.
- Design and produce regular reporting and analysis to help management better understand the type and quality of the business being written.
- Responsible for the accuracy and quality of data and analysis.
- Regularly evaluate existing reports and find improvements.
- Seek to develop new methods of analysing and communicating whilst ensuring quality of output is maintained.
- Provide ad hoc MI as required in a timely manner.
What we are looking for:
- Natural desire to act at pace, be innovative, while setting high standards.
- Extensive SQL experience.
- Knowledge of Power BI, DAX and Power Query.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Insurance experience desirable.
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis in SQL, Power BI etc.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills required, particularly Excel.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of data visualisation techniques and best practices.
