The Group is looking for an Insurance Analyst to join our Pricing and Underwriting team working in the Performance Monitoring section.

Role Title: Insurance Analyst
Location: Liverpool City Centre, Hybrid working available
Salary: up to £32,500 depending on experience
Working hours: 37.5 Hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm

What you will be doing:

  • Mentor newer members of the team, be the go‑to person for support and help them develop their insurance knowledge.
  • Monitor business performance and report on any potential risks or opportunities identified.
  • Design and produce regular reporting and analysis to help management better understand the type and quality of the business being written.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and quality of data and analysis.
  • Regularly evaluate existing reports and find improvements.
  • Seek to develop new methods of analysing and communicating whilst ensuring quality of output is maintained.
  • Provide ad hoc MI as required in a timely manner.

What we are looking for:

  • Natural desire to act at pace, be innovative, while setting high standards.
  • Extensive SQL experience.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, DAX and Power Query.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Insurance experience desirable.
  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis in SQL, Power BI etc.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required, particularly Excel.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of data visualisation techniques and best practices.
