Salary: £28,000 per year
Job type: Full time, Permanent.
Hours: 8.30 - 5.30 Monday to Friday / Saturday working is required on a rota basis between May and November and is paid in addition to the basic salary. This typically equates to 2-3 Saturdays per year, subject to staffing levels.
About us: Acorn Event Structures are one of the largest suppliers of temporary structures to the Events Industry. Installing Staging and temporary structures to all major festivals and tours in both the UK and Europe.
We have an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, strong teamwork ethic with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The role requires the individual to meet deadlines whilst also being able to respond to daily requests from the accounts manager and procurement manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide general overall administrative support to the Accounts manager
- Maintain Purchase Ledger
- Processing supplier payments
- Raise Sales Invoices
- Remind customers to make timely payments
- Identify and address discrepancies in all documentation
- Update internal spreadsheets
- Reconciling credit card transactions
- Assist and support the Procurement Manager and the Finance Manager when required
Skills Required:
- Accounts experience
- Knowledge of VAT treatment
- SAGE 50 experience beneficial
- Strong IT skills
- Ability to prioritise and have great attention to detail
- Ability to work on their own as well as part of the team, create own deadlines and manage own workload
