This is a position for a qualified building services electrical engineer who can carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive/repair works on the building services plant in our Watford Atria site.
Package & Benefits
- Location: Atria Shopping Centre, Watford
- Salary: £41,200
- Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days, Weekends and Call outs on a rota basis (currently 1 in 4)
- Shift Patterns (Mon - Fri):
- Early shift: 7:30am – 4:30pm
- Mid shift: 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Late shift: 9:30am – 6:30pm
- Weekends – (Rota basis):
- Saturday: 8:30am – 6:30pm
- Sunday: 10:30am – 5:30pm

Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with the HVAC specification and annual maintenance programme.
- Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximize plant effectiveness and reliability.
- Adhere to company QA and site procedures.
- Follow company & site health & safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
- Inspect the condition of services and proactively address callouts/repairs as required.
- Attend site emergencies outside of normal working hours.
- Perform tasks in plant room environments and at height, using provided platforms, ladders, and PPE.
- Maintain company-issued tools safely and serviceably.
- Proactively support contract success with a positive approach.
- Complete any other tasks requested by management.
- Work weekends on a rota basis.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Essential
- City & Guilds Electrical Installation/Maintenance
- IEE 18th Edition
- MEWP or IPAF certificate 3a & 3b.
- Proven mechanical/electrical skills in all aspects of building services
- In-depth knowledge of building services with ability to fault-find and resolve problems
- Sound judgment and logical problem-solving examples
- Previous experience working within a maintenance team
- Competent knowledge of building services components: fire alarm, BMS, mains switchgear, air handling units, heating and ventilation, pumps, calorifiers, CWS and HWS systems
- Experience with 3-phase systems
