Are you a commercially driven operational leader with a proven track record of managing multiple contracts, developing high-performing teams, and building lasting client relationships?
We are seeking an experienced Area General Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of contracts, driving operational excellence, commercial growth, and customer satisfaction across the region.
The Role
Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall performance, profitability, growth and service delivery of multiple contracts. You will lead operational teams, manage key client relationships, and identify opportunities to expand services while ensuring contractual commitments are consistently exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver contract financial plans, ensuring revenue, profitability, growth and cost reduction targets are achieved and exceeded.
- Drive contract retention and re-win opportunities through exceptional service delivery and client engagement.
- Identify and secure opportunities for additional services, projects and account growth.
- Lead the sales and tender process, supporting solution development, client presentations, consultation meetings and contract mobilisation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as the key point of escalation where required.
- Provide leadership and direction to operational teams, ensuring performance standards, KPIs and contractual commitments are met.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of responsibility.
- Ensure company policies, procedures and best practices are effectively communicated and implemented.
- Deliver clear and effective business communication through meetings, reporting, briefings and client reviews.
- Promote a positive, accountable and high-performance culture across your teams.
- Develop talent through coaching, training, succession planning and performance management.
About You
We are looking for a proven operational leader with experience managing multiple contracts within a service-led environment.
You’ll have:
- Experience in a senior management, account management, area management or operational leadership role.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills.
- A track record of managing client relationships and delivering contract growth.
- Experience leading managers and large operational teams across multiple sites.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to identify opportunities and convert them into business growth.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on developing people and driving performance.
- Experience within Facilities Management, Building Services, M&E, Engineering Services or Construction environments.
- Knowledge of contract mobilisation and tender processes.
