Acorn Education Trust is seeking a personable and highly organised HR Administrator to support with the HR functions across our central business and schools. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to provide HR support within the Education sector. Previous experience in HR administration is essential for the role.
Working Hours: 20–25 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 38 weeks per year.
The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with excellent attention to detail and enjoy working as part of a busy central team. Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office, you will act as one of the first points of contact for school-based administrators on HR processes and policy queries, and be expected to maintain employee records on the Trust’s HR information system, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has HR administration experience (within the education sector is advantageous);
- Has a good working knowledge of HR and ICT systems (including Microsoft Office);
- Has studied to a minimum standard of GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and Maths;
- Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of school-based staff;
- Is self-motivated, consistent and can maintain confidentiality;
- Has superb attention to detail and organisational skills;
- Has the ability to problem solve and use initiative;
- Is able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines;
- Is a strong team player who can use their own initiative;
- Has a positive and flexible attitude;
- Has a desire to work within the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) structure.
