Pewsey Vale School is looking for a School Cleaner to join its dedicated team on a permanent basis and support in maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school.

Working Hours: Part Time (10 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 3pm until 5pm, 41 weeks per year, school term time, includes teacher Training Days plus two weeks during the school holidays).

Pewsey Vale is a small but thriving co-educational school, educating young people between the ages of 11 and 16 years. Located in the village of Pewsey, our school community works together to ensure that all students are supported to reach their full potential in both their academic and personal development. As a school, we provide a supportive and challenging learning environment where every student is recognised as an individual and empowered to succeed. We believe in teaching that engages students and challenges them to exceed expectation and take risks so they can be resilient, creative and successful individuals. In December 2024 we joined Acorn Education Trust, which provides exciting opportunities to improve local education and draw on collective experience.

Cleaning duties will predominantly be carried out in the Design area of the school as well as classrooms, corridors, toilet cubicles, halls, offices and staffrooms, as required.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has good interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of staff;
  • Is a strong team player who can use their own initiative;
  • Has a positive and flexible ‘can-do’ attitude;
  • Has a desire to work flexible hours, mostly during school term times;
  • Takes pride in doing a job well and to a high standard;
  • Can work under pressure and meet deadlines.
