About the Role
Wetheringsett Manor School values safe, welcoming and well‑maintained environments. This role is a facilities & site supervisor responsible for ensuring grounds, buildings and vocational areas are safe, compliant and inspirational for pupils, staff and visitors.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out general maintenance, emergency repairs and upkeep of buildings, grounds and vocational areas.
- Coordinate key site services including security, fire safety, access control, cleaning, waste management and grounds maintenance.
- Supervise facilities operatives, cleaners and external contractors to ensure safe, high‑quality work.
- Complete statutory Health & Safety checks (fire alarms, emergency lighting, legionella, asbestos, equipment checks, ladder inspections, etc.) and support PAT testing.
- Manage opening/closing procedures, contribute to the emergency/fire marshal rota and maintain accurate HSE and building compliance records using digital systems.
- Ensure tools, equipment and learning resources are safe, compliant and well maintained, while advising the Vocational Lead on resource needs and priorities.

- Driving licence required.
- Experience in a school or similar setting is beneficial but not essential – commitment to high standards and willingness to get stuck in is paramount.
